McCracken, Marjolaine "Marjie" Lois, 80, of Atlantic Beach, Florida, was born April 22, 1931 in Ft. Myers, Florida. Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister departed this port on October 21, 2011 for her greatest boating adventure of all. A 1949 graduate of Lee High School, “Marjie” had been a resident of the Beaches since 1960. She is still fondly remembered by many as Mrs. Arflin from her days as a secretary at Fletcher High School. Marjie and her former husband, the late Harry B. Schnabel, were avid boaters and delighted in sharing their adventures with family and friends. Marjie was loved and respected by all who knew her. Predeceased by her brother, Bill McCracken and a grandson, Rylan Arflin, she is survived by her daughters, Karen Arflin (formerly Lambert), Atlantic Beach, Cathy Mesimer (Steve), Atlantic Beach, sons, Josh LeMaster (Tammy), Ponte Vedra Beach, Steve Arflin (Susan), Kingsland, GA, Kennan Arflin, AL. Marjie is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Lambert, (son of Brant Lambert, her beloved former son-in-law), both of Atlantic Beach, Brian Pope (Dawn), Atlantic Beach, Steven Arflin (Jessica), Atlantic Beach, Shana Arflin, Jacksonville, Joshua Arflin (Nicole), Indiana, Matt and Brandon Arflin, Indiana, J.P., Jarrett and Dalton LeMaster, Ponte Vedra Beach and three great-grandchildren, Emily and Abigail Pope, Atlantic Beach, Isabel Arflin, Indiana and her loving sister, Beverly Hambrick of Orange Park.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Community Hospice of NE Florida or the National Alzheimer’s organization.
