Mavis Gunter Hardeman

Mavis Gunter Hardeman, born in Fitzgerald, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the age of 92. Preceded in death by her son, Thomas H. Hardeman. She is survived by son, Joe (Pat) Hardeman; 3 daughters, Beverly (Marty) Schaefer, Carolyn (Bill) Stevens, and Kelly Heatwole; grandchildren, Sandy, Kenny, Lil' Joe, Jennifer, Lori, Crissy, Scooter (Marty, Jr.), Briana, Travis, Tresa, Nigel, Ashley, Sarah; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Mavis resided most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida raising her five children. She was beloved by her community.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life at 2 pm on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the Ribault Garden Club, 705 2nd Ave N, Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Mavis' name may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
