Charles William Stracener

Charles William Stracener, 82, passed away April 1, 2024 at Haven Custead Hospice in Orange Park, FL. He was born November 20, 1941 in Searcy, AR. Charles graduated from high school & retired from Illingworth Engineering. He was a member of Fort Caroline Christian Church, Arlington Channel Masters, Holiday Rambler Camping Club and Shadetree RC Club. He enjoyed camping, flying & building RC airplanes, fishing, playing cards and spending time with family & friends. He is predeceased by his wife Carol Jean Stracener, Charley Quitman Stracener (father), Margaret Cowgill Stracener (mother) and Paul K. Stracener (brother). He is survived by Jeanette Lyn Stracener McWhorter (daughter), Sherry Ann Robertson (daughter), Thomas Scott Robertson (Sherry's husband), Brandon Matthew Robertson (grandson), Kristin Danielle Robertson (Brandon's wife), Bethaney Lyn McWhorter (granddaughter), Alana Marie McWhorter (granddaughter), Bryson Kash Robertson (great grandson), Bowen Kane Robertson (great grandson), Susie Stracener (sister in-law), Tami Stracener (niece), and many other beloved family and friends. Also, many caring caregivers with the Benton House at Oakleaf. Memorial donations may be made to Haven Custead Hospice Orange Park.

A graveside service for Charles will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 SAN JOSE BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32207.
