Dorothy was born on her grandmother’s farm in Iowa. She was known to everyone as “Dottie”. She loved her family, and she loved her Lord. She was a proud Navy wife for 20 years, and she made her living as the best Mom/Grandma we could ever ask for. She smiled through every situation, and made a friend of everyone she met.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Mike Sigmon (Barbara), and her daughters, Lyn Broderick, and Teri Meyer (Bob). She had four grandchildren whom she adored, Miki Sigmon, Lauren Broderick (Eric), Sara Meyer, and Jake Meyer. She also had the joy of three great-grandchildren, Steele Pagnotto, Ellie Denton, and Luke Denton. We will always carry the love of our sweet Ga Ga in our hearts, and know that her life was definitely “A life well-lived”.
A Visitation will be held at 10:30am, Monday January 14, 2019, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am at Cypress Village, 4600 Middleton Park Circle East, Jacksonville, Florida 32244. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
