E. Marjorie McDuffie, age 89, passed away February 25, 2020. She lived her life to the fullest, until her recent illness. She was born in Vada, Georgia in Mitchell County and has been a long-time resident of Jacksonville, Florida. After high school, she graduated from Massey Business College. She then worked briefly in secretarial positions before getting married and becoming a full-time homemaker. She had been a member of the Red Hat Society and loved to attend church.
She was married to William Ashley McDuffie for 53 years. She has one daughter, Pam Bullard (Travis); two grandchildren, Brandon Bullard (Catie) and Amanda Carr (Kyle); and three great-granddaughters Kamryn, Kaelyn, and Kearsyn. She has one sister, Jean Sammons, and was preceded in death by another sister, Anne James. She also had one brother, Stanley Allen. She also has numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to especially thank her "visiting angels" for their love and support over the past five years Michelle Paige, Tiffany Harris, and Karlene Morris.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to join the family for a reception following the graveside service at Promise Land Baptist Church, 2197 Blair Road.
