John Milko (95) passed away July 3, 2018. He was born December 8, 1922 in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania. John married Fortune R. Milko on October 20, 1951. Their children are Nancy Bourne-Burke (John), Cathy Stupski, and son David. They were blessed with four grandchildren: Benjamin Bourne (Erica), Amanda Bourne Andersen (Elizabeth), Eric and Matthew Stupski. Additionally, blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Tristan, Kaitlyn, Makayla, Lily, and Jacob Bourne, Ellis and Brennan Andersen. He is survived by two of his seven siblings, Virginia Brooks and Margaret Walsh and numerous nieces and nephews. After graduating from the University of Detroit, John worked as a Professional Electrical Engineer at Public Lighting Commission in Detroit, MI, Burns & Roe in Hempstead, NY and Reynolds, Smith and Hills in Jacksonville, FL.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9800 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive visitors for a celebration of life on Saturday, August 18th at Camilla at Deerwood from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
