I took piano lessons from Rosie in the mid '60s and also was a member at LSUMC. She was so encouraging and patient as a teacher! She will be missed! My sympathy goes out to the entire family--especially Les and David. Sending regards, too, from my mom who is also 91.

Rosie was a dear people person. We had many wonderful laughs. That was what was so special about her. That endearing personality and cheerfulness. Such a wonderful person. We loved she and her husband so much. I know she is making heaven a better place.

I knew Rosie since the early 1980's when she came to Asbury United Methodist Church to be our choir director, hand bell director, and organist. When we built our new sancturary in mid 1980's, She insisted and we had built a pipe organ. we still have it and love it. It was a wonderful addition to our church. She brought out the best in each singer up lifted the musical ministry. Jim Hallley (Orange Park, FL)

Rosie was my dear friend and confidant. She was always so patient and encouraging when trying to teach me piano. I loved to hear her play, and I loved our piano lessons/gab sessions. I will miss her, and our visits, so much. Tom and I wish we could take her to Bingo, again, too!

Rosie was such a wonderful lady. When I was working at Asbury we would sit and chat about everything, she took the time to teach me a little of the piano and invite me into her home. The world is a better place havie Rosie here! She will be missed.

I didn't see Rosie often, we lived so far apart, just once a year at music workshop. But she ALWAYS remembered me, encouraged me, and lifted my spirit. She was one of God's special angels, and I will love her always.

As I was playing the church service today (Easter Sunday), I said a little prayer of thanks to Rosie. When I moved to Florida with 2 young children and began attending Asbury United Methodist Church in the early 1980's, she was the inspiration and the impetus which sparked my desire to become a church musician so along with my children, I spent many years playing piano, directing children's choir, participating in The Fellowship Summer Music Workshop, singing in Cantatas and later, substituting for her on organ. She was truly a dedicated, talented musician who used her talents for the Glory of God.

I will always remember Rosie as the driving force behind my successful Lake Shore JHS band contest solos. A patient, kind, likeable teacher and great musical talent.
I'm sure we will find her in heaven's orchestra.
