He was born in Nashville, TN where he graduated from Central High School and began his career at age 19 for the L&N Railroad. He and the family moved several places throughout his 35 year career before he retired in Jacksonville, FL. He was a voracious reader, loved being outdoors and being with his family. His wit, loyalty, tenacity and generosity will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy, his daughter, Dana, and his pride and joy grandson, Preston, and many other nieces, nephews, and other family and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond and Bonnie Drumright, and his brothers Thomas and Joseph.
Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or Community Hospice.
