Vivian Juanita Foster

Vivian Foster, 95, of Callahan, Florida faded from this life to rejoicing in heaven on Sunday, September 16, 2018. She was born in Clymer, PA on January 29, 1923. She married the love of her life, Richard Foster, in early September of 1950. Vivian retired as a loan and mortgage officer for First Federal Savings and Loan in Boynton Beach, FL. She is remembered by her family and friends as a prayer warrior and most of all for sharing her love of Jesus Christ. Her niece, Lynda, best expressed all our families feelings about her passing, “Aunt Vivian was the matriarch of our family after Grandma Wilt passed away. She was excellent in keeping our very large family in prayer and informed. For as tiny as she was (4’9” I think) someone will have big shoes to fill in her prayer walk and keeping our family together."

After residing in Boynton Beach, FL for 50 years, Vivian and Dick moved to Callahan to be close to family. Always involved in church and with her love for missions she became an active member of First Baptist Callahan.

Vivian is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Ron Baxter and her grandchildren, John (Ann) and Brian Baxter. She also leaves to cherish her memory her great grandchildren, Georgia, Virginia, Dakota, Jack and Joe, her sisters, Meredith (Bill) Beck, Joan (Bill) Hill, and her brothers Bill (Sharon) Wilt and Don (Lee) Wilt and many nieces and nephews. Vivian is predeceased by her husband, Richard Foster.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service officiated by Dr. Lynn Hyatt at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at First Baptist Church Callahan, 45090 Green Ave. In lieu of flowers Vivian would be honored if you would send your gift to a missionary family in Honduras that she has supported over the years, Ministerio Camino Nuevo c/o Arevalo Family, 1428 S. Oak Ave., Freeport, IL 61032. Arrangements are under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home, Jacksonville, FL.
