I am so sorry to hear that Raenette is no longer with us. We shared many happy times when she lived in the Birmingham area, and I watched via Facebook her new life unfold in Florida and continue up north. I hoped she was happy and wished her the best. We used to go cross-country skiing in the winter, and she raced with me up north with the GM ski club. We got together often to bike, and she arranged bike trips to Niagara Falls, and Lake Placid, and I always was a willing participant. With each trip she would make T-shirts with a photo of all of us on the front. I plan to keep them always. She was a good and caring person, and of course, a very talented artist, as well as a graphic artist. She was fun to be with, and great at attracting a large circle of friends. She lived a very full life, but I wish she had not gone so soon. God bless you, Raenette....   Nancy 

I have so many fond memories of Raenette.  We had mutual interests in sailing, skiing, biking, golfing, and just plain good times.  I will treasure these memories as very important moments in my life.   The memories stretch from "girls weekend up north" to ski races at Boyne Mountain.  They were all so much fun.  Raenette was a very talented artist as we all have witnessed.   Raenette gave of herself in many ways and was always ready to help.  Her talents helped Sam and I promote out ski trips out west by designing flyers to advertise them.  She and Mike came on our trips.  On her last skiing trip to Utah in 2003 she hurt herself and I called for ski patrol.  That's probably the one and only time  I helped her!  Raenette made the world a better place and we will all miss her dearly.  Jill, take note that we all loved your sister and will remember her fondly.     Bonnie 

Raenette was such a talented artist. When ever  we heard of her having a show we didn’t want to miss it. She did such beautiful work.  Jill please know you are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this time. Please let me know if I can be of any help when you come to Michigan.

Raenette was preceded in death by her parents, Taito and Sophia Hirvonen (Redford and Elk Rapids, Michigan) and by her husband, Michael F. McManus (Bloomfield Hills, Michigan). She is survived by her sister, Jill and brother, Keith.
