Thomas H. Fullman PhD, MBA (Dr. Tom), left his physical form on June 25, 2022. He was born in Passaic, New Jersey, October 23rd, 1948 to Geraldine Leoni (Fullman) and Thomas H. Fullman Sr. He remained there and thrived surrounded by his brothers (Robert and Charles) and a large extended family. He attended Belleville High School (1966) where he lettered in football and baseball.
After graduation, he drove south to Florida along with six of his friends in a 1960 Chevy. This rowdy group landed on the beach in Ft. Pierce, where Dr. Tom got “sand in his shoes,” falling in love with Florida and his wife Joanne Gorham.
They raised four children in Jensen Beach (Andrea, Thomas III, Alexandra, Abby) 15 miles from where they parked that Chevy.
Dr. Tom attended Indian River Junior College (IRSC) and Central Connecticut State. He received his MBA from Florida International University and PhD from Florida State University where he met his next love: FSU Football. Go Noles!
Dr. Tom was a teacher for many years. He taught thousands of students from age 12 all the way to graduate school. He loved enriching minds and seeing people learn and change. As a Marital and Family Therapist he helped hundreds of families to think well, show love, and heal.
Dr. Tom gave time to many community service organizations: Kiwanis, American Red Cross, Jensen Beach Group, and many pro bono hours to clients in need.
Dr. Tom died suddenly next to his wife Joanne in the home where they raised their children.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; his children Andrea (Christopher) Berry, Thomas (Brittany) Fullman, Alexandra (Joshua) Chase, Abby (Chadwick) Fullman; Grandchildren Sullivan, Finnegan Morrison, Owsley; his brothers Robert and Charles; and the many who were welcomed into his open home and became part of his family.
Remembrance and reflection will be held at the Aycock Funeral Home in Jensen Beach on July 2, 4-6pm.
