Dorothy L. Daly
November 28, 1930 – April 2, 2019
Dorothy Lawson Daly, 88 of Jupiter, FL, formerly of N.Y. and Bridgehampton, passed away on April 2, 2019. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 28, 1930; the daughter of the late John and Bertha Lawson.
Dorothy was educated in NY, graduating from Fontbonne Hall Academy and Notre Dame College, earning her BA degree. She married John Daly on November 1, 1952. Dorothy was employed as the Director of Placement for LIM for over 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Noyac Golf Club, the Montauk Bridge Club and was an AAU competitive swimmer. She enjoyed golfing, playing duplicate bridge, dancing, traveling and loved socializing with her many friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, John Daly; three daughters, Susan Grymes, Kim Kelly and her husband Mark and Lauren Keating and her husband Jerome; ten grandchildren, Matthew Kelly and his wife Kate, Jed Kelly and his wife Caroline, Lawson Kelly, John Grymes, Harrison Grymes, Caroline Grymes, Alex Keating, Andrew Keating, Nick Keating and Chris Keating; four great grandchildren, Michael, Theo, Cora and Amelia and two sisters, Edna Thornton of Vero Beach and Marilyn Miller of Stuart.
She is predeceased by three sisters, Kay, Bette and Joan.
A Memorial Service will be held July 13, 2019 at 11am at Queen the Most Holy Rosary Church in Bridgehampton, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to Cure Alzheimer's Fund, 34 Washington St., Suite 310. Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
