The dust of I dreamed when I was young
And felt the sun of life warm in my hand
And heard the haunting song wild winds have sung.
What may appear as vision as the end
Is but the limit of this human site
Beyond which all the stars of faith attend
Those travelers who journey into night.
When the quiet interim I lie,
All mortal things aside, needed no more,
Wrap me in prayer and face me to the sky
Then go with love and gently close the door.
