Richard “Rick” Capaldo (62) passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 26, 2013 at his house in Jupiter. Rick was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on March 26, 1951. A true Floridian, he went to Forest Hill High School and graduated from the University of Florida with a BS degree in Pharmacy. Rick owned Jupiter Pharmacy on Indiantown Road for 8 years and worked as a Pharmacist for Walgreens for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Gators football, playing with his beloved grandkids and dancing to the YMCA.
He dearly loved his family and was a proud and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne, his daughter, Meghan and her husband Gabe, and his grandchildren Finn and Ansley, his daughter, Katie and her husband Evan and his grandchildren Cecilia and Cole, his parents John and Maude Capaldo, his sister Mona Taylor and her husband Jeff, and his nephew and niece Greg and Cori, his sister Sue Malaney and her husband Mike, and his nieces Brea and Christine.
A viewing will be held at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home at 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458 on Sunday, September 29th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church at 1701 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter, FL 33458 on Monday, September 30th at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, Rick would have wanted donations made to the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium located at 4801 Dreher Trail North, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, where his daughter, Katie works
