I met Steve in high school. He was one of the kindest individuals I have ever met. He was the same when we got back in contact on Facebook. I am so very sorry to all he knew for his loss. God Bless and know that you are all in my prayers and heart. 

Quiet and unassuming; the kindest man you could ever wish to meet. He went out of his way to help others and never expected anything in return.  No wonder he chose a hospital career. You've left us too soon Steve but we'll never forget you and that cheeky smile.

I met Steve as a student in Respiratory School (1997) he was a Preceptor for a couple different rotations of mine at Good Sam. I also have been fortunate to work along side him at Gardens for the past 9 years. Steve was an amazingly giving person, a mentor, coworker and friend.He simply was amazingly unforgettable. If your life crosses in Steve Bells path, it was gifted with humor, laughs, silliness, light and love. He made everything easier. My son this year was diagnosed with a brain tumor...it has been a very difficult time...Steve never said the things most people would say to show comfort and love. He said it like it was " this sucks" , some mornings at work, he would just place his hand on my shoulder and say" Nickarooni, I'm here". My heart is so heavy saying goodbye to such a gift, I will miss him all the time. I know though those of us who knew him are the lucky one's. Our lives were blessed with Steve's goofy, unselfish, knowledgeable and loving ways. I will be praying for peace for Heather and Abby in their loss. Steve loved "his girls" with everything he was made of.  He spoke of them all the time with such pride and love. 

Rob and I are so sorry to hear of your loss.  May you cherish all your memories and take comfort in them at this time of need.  Big Hugs from us here.  Love from all of us here in Canada.

So many incredible memories from our youth! Steve was a caring, kind, warm and hilarious man; he could always make me laugh, no matter what!  Gone too soon is an understatement and my heart goes out to his family.  Steve touched many lives and he will be deeply missed.

Steve,  although we were only friends for over 4 years you have been an amazing presence in my life.  You were my gator buddy #gogators, my Disney nerd friend (as if anyone could love Disney more than me.. well you probably did), my biggest fan on facebook cheering me on through 200 plus days of workouts, sending me hundreds of silly memes to make my day brighter (I checked on fb, there are hundreds..).  Answering panicked texts when Emilie was little and having breathing issues, talking me off a ledge.   Showing everyone what a great person you were, father and husband, certainly not by bragging but just by being you, funny, warm, caring, loving the list goes on and on.  One of the most humble honest people I've met with an uncanny ability to make everyone feel at ease.  Your annoying how many sleeps until christmas posts that actually had a calming effect,  as much of what you did, by showing a lighter side to everything.  You really were a class act, and I know you'd bashfully shy away from hearing this because it was never your goal to be recognized for all this, it was again you just being you.  Sending all our love and strength to Heather, and Abby and family to always live life like you did, to the fullest loving your family and life.  The Atwoods......

I've known Steve my whole life. My greatest memories of him were from high school.  We used to ride to school together in Patrick Stewarts white volkswagon bug. His bug had no heat. In the winter, they would pull up in my driveway, and there would be Steve wrapped up like a bug in a rug in a blanket, with only his eyes peeking out a slit in the blanket. I'd remind him he lived in sunny warm south Florida and had Canadian blood running through his veins. But that didn't matter, he wasn't coming out of that blanket. Always had me laughing. Stayed friends all the way to the end. I'm sorry I never got to meet his family in person. Although I feel I know them personally through Steves uncanny ability to photograph everything and post on facebook. I'm gonna miss our lunches when I would come down from ohio and visit. I'm not gonna lie. God took one of the great ones too early. I will see you on the other side bro.

I was fortunate to live just a couple of doors from Steve when they moved to Jupiter.  I watched the house get built, and then saw them move in.  Steve was always first with a smile, a laugh, and the offer to help in any way possible.  There was never a conversation that didn't include how fortunate he was to have both of "his girls", and he was the proudest dad I've ever known. 
Heather, his love and respect for you evident - and he was lucky to have you.
Abby, there was nothing in the world more important to your dad than your safety and your happiness.  I'll always treasure the images of him doing your hair (or at least trying) and of you painting his toenails.  
In Jewish tradition no person is ever gone as long as their memory is alive.  We all must talk of Steve often.  We must remember and continue his endless wit and sarcasm for he would want nothing less.

Steve was rare, an anomaly.  His light burned brighter than most anyone I've known. His love for family and friends was a joy to witness. His loving kindness toward everyone is something we should all strive for.  I have never seen a more devoted husband father, and friend.  His memory shall always be carried by those who loved him and his warmth and light will be a beacon for his family and friends in the days to come.
