Shirley Belita Aberilla, 75, of Kaneohe, passed peacefully from this life into eternal life on Nov. 7, 2020. Predeceased by husband, Peter. Survived by sons, Timothy (Yumi), Nelson; daughters Bernadette (Jack) Terry and Melanie (Roy) Nakabayashi; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert, William, Lawrence and Franklyn Alimoot; sister, Felicia (Fely) Alimoot.
Shirley retired from the State of Hawaii, Hale Ho’omalu Juvenile Detention Facility, on November 1, 2001, where she worked as a cook for over 21 years. She had a love for cooking and baking and often blessed her family and friends with her delicious dishes and baked goods. She had an adventurous spirit that took her on many travels with friends and her family. Over 40 years ago she took her first aerobics class and has been exercising or dancing ever since. She looked forward to taking daily walks and rarely missed a day. Shirley also had a passion for country line dancing and was an avid dancer for over 23 years. It was through her passion for dancing that she made many meaningful connections and lasting friendships.
Drive-by Celebration of Life will be on December 28, 2020 10:00am-10:50am at the Hawaiian Memorial Park
