Carl J. Divers, 76, passed away June 27, 2013. A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 2nd from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS. A Graveside will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Carl was born and raised in Kansas City, KS. On July 12, 1968 he married Ola Marie Patton. Together they raised their family. Carl served in the United States Marine Corp. He was part of the United Auto Workers Union and retired from General Motors. Carl was an avid sports fan and followed closely with the Kansas sports teams. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Lester Divers; mother, Pearl Hammersmith; and sister, Norma Meyer. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Ola Marie; daughter, Carla Bongino; 2 sons, Joe and Tom Blanz. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, KCKS, 66112.
