Martha J. Kaminski, 76, Bonner Springs, KS passed away October 15, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 22, 2021 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS. A visitation will begin at 11:30 AM, also at the chapel. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Martha was born on October 3, 1945 in Jasper, AL to Dock and Florence (Smith) Stidham. She graduated from Forrest City High School in 1963 and then moved to the Kansas City area in 1968.
She was married to the love of her life, Charles Kaminski in 1982. Martha was also a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church in Bonner Springs, KS. She retired in 2000 from American Drug Stores (Katz, Skaggs, and Osco) after over 30 years of service.
Martha spent many hours enjoying the outdoors, always working in the yard and gardening. She also enjoyed fishing, boating and traveling. Martha was an avid Chiefs fan, never missing a game or the chance to go to a game. Her family was most important to her, she cherished her time with her children, grandchild and great grandchildren.
Martha was preceded in passing by her parents; two sisters, Vertie Mae Harbin and Bertha Stallings and one brother, Winford Stidham.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Chuck; two children, Patty Sharp of Overland Park, KS and Tim Dutton of Lenexa, KS; two stepdaughters, Sheri Kaufman of Tonganoxie, KS and Kristie Zager of Kansas City, MO; one grandchild, Jessica Nelson; two step-grandchildren, Zoey and Zane Zager; and two great grandchildren, Aiden Ritch and Braxton Spears.
