Ruth Eileen Logan, 82, of Leavenworth, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019. Ruth was born May, 3, 1937 in Leavenworth to Luther Dewy Dunlap and Edith Mae Morrison. She graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1957. She loved all sports; was active in softball and basketball. Ruth married Ronnie Logan on October 27, 1956.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, and five sisters.
She is survived by her husband; seven children. Kathy (Tim) Harber of Gardener, KS, Debbie Logan, Johnny (Mary) Logan, Robbie French, Billy Logan, Rhonda Logan, and Julie (Chad) Alexander, all of Leavenworth, KS; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Donna Ray and Charlene (Jerry) Hall; a host of nieces and nephews and good friends she loved very much.
Ruther was well known for “cutting grass all over town” as she would call it. She loved the Royals, Chiefs, playing darts, shooting a game of pool, and drinking a good cold beer. We sure are going to miss her.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Leavenworth Council and Aging Meals on Wheels and the America Heart Association. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Friday August 23, 2019 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
