Sheila was an amazing woman, a caring mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend. Everyone she encountered remembered her smile and her quiet friendship. She was a wonderful cook, and her povatica was second to none; in fact she was enlisted regularly to provide the povatica at family weddings. She had a quick wit and sharp sense of humor, and she taught her family the importance of laughter, especially the gift of laughing at ourselves. Sheila was resilient and strong, battling through multiple illnesses with humor and stoic acceptance. Her greatest gift and legacy was the love shown to her family. Although she will be missed on earth, we rejoice in the latest guardian angel joining heaven.
She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Lee Bellus, brother James Quinn, sister Barbara Hoosier, and parents Julia Malavac Quinn and James Geary Quinn. She is survived by her children Laura Gaydess (Ed), Gary Bellus (Geralyn), and Karen Bellus Wilkerson; her grandchildren Betsy Gaydess-Hodgins, Andrea Mulvenon, Blake Bellus, Taylor Bellus, Zach Bellus and Sarah Wilkerson; and great-grandchildren Ellie Mulvenon, and Cecily and Thea Gaydess-Hodgins.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Westchester Village and Ascend Hospice.
