The angles rejoiced as Catherine Clay, 95, returned to her heavenly home on May 9, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, William W. Clay; her parents, Nick and Marie Malsom; sisters, Elizabeth Malsom, Theresa Nance, and Viola Base and one brother, Philip Malsom. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Powers, of Quincy, KS; Lena Marshall, of Chadron, NE as well as two brothers, Joe Malsom, of Oak Harbor, WA and Frank Malsom of Wellington, KS. Her beloved nieces and nephews will long remember her devotion to God and family, her many acts of charity and kindness and always her sense of fun.
Visitation will be 10am-11am, Thursday, May 16, 2013 followed by a memorial mass at 11am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terr, Kansas City, MO 64116. Inurnment at Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests prayers or genuine acts of kindness for those in need.
