Dorothy was retired from Unity School of Christianity where she did clerical work and worked in the mail room. In her free time Dorothy enjoyed to crochet and sew. She taught herself how to decorate cakes for special occasions, never a box cake always from scratch. Dorothy enjoyed cooking especially making homemade noodles, breads and cookies. Whenever she had a visitor, she would always ask if she could fix them something to eat. She lived through the depression era and never wanted to see anyone go hungry.
Dorothy was a long time member of the Maywood Baptist Seniors Club and the Woods Chapel Church of God Seniors Club.
Dorothy was never one to watch TV but, she did enjoy watching Shirley Temple, Lucille Ball, figure skating and in her later years soccer.
Dorothy lived a long full life. She was a cancer survivor of 46 years. Everyone that met her would say how pretty she was and what wonderful skin she had. She would let them know that it was due to oil of olay. She should have been their spokesperson of 96 years young and no wrinkles!
Dorothy is at peace and forever with husband once again.
