  Eddie, When things didn't work out with Penny and me you could have washed your hands of me but you and Marcella didn't. You were more than a Father-in-Law to me, you were my friend. You accepted me for me. Not only did you accept me but you accepted Caroline, even calling her your "Little gal." You were a man's man in my eyes. You were a big part of my life for 42 years. You and Marcella took Tabitha in and you raised her to be the woman she is today. I can't thank you enough. You showed me and others what sacrifice really means. You loved me, warts and all. I just hope you know that I love you. I'll miss calling and wishing you a Happy Birthday. I'm a better man because I knew you. To me, the earth feels a bit emptier without you.


From one trucker to another, You never missed a gear.  You Blessed us all with your humor, love and acts of kindness. Myron and His kids are still using the Hand made Manger Scene you and Marcella made.  Rest in the love of Jesus brother. We will all see you in the Circle. John and Mary Lee

Dad, you have left a lasting legacy of love and honor for everyone who knew you.  It was such a blessing to have been raised and loved by someone who stood so tall in my eyes.  From humble beginnings you forged your future with the my mother, whom you declared more than once, was the only woman you had loved, from first sight.  Your generation was the "never give up" generation and you certainly did not, regardless the task.  In love with all things nature, you were happiest anywhere outside; fishing, camping, gardening, road trips, or just sitting in observance of God's great masterpiece.  You leave behind your heartbroken children, grandchildren, church family, neighbors, extended family, and of course your wife of nearly 69 years.  You were loved deeply and dearly and I hope you felt it completely.  I can't go back far enough in my memories when you were not there for me.  You told Mom you would wait for her JUST BEYOND THE MOON....so even now, I know you're near.  You labored so hard for everything you got in this life, so I am resting assured you are at peace now.  So much love left for you.
