Geraldeane (Gerre) White Gibson, 84, Kansas City, Missouri passed away July 8, 2019 at home.
Gerre was born on December 13, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri to Paul A. and Ann G. White. She graduated from Westport High School and attended Kansas City Junior College. She worked in the actuarial department at Kansas City Life Insurance Company. In 1955, she married Fred R. (Bob) Gibson, Jr.
Gerre was a housewife who enjoyed time spent with her children and husband. She was a Girl Scout leader, a member of Sarah Lewis Boone Chapter NSDAR, and a member of Parliamentarian Club of Kansas City, Missouri. Gerre was involved in her church circle group and loved visiting Colonial Williamsburg. Her hobbies included cross stitch, quilting, reading, and she was an excellent cook. Gerre especially loved reading to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charles White of Ellington, Connecticut and her grandson, Adam Gibson of Overland Park, Kansas.
Gerre is survived by her husband, her sisters Patricia Welborn of California, Maryland and Virginia L. White of Overland Park, Kansas; her brothers Paul A. White, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri, and Robert M. White of Keller, Texas; her children Beth (Charles) Kruse of Interior, South Dakota, Chuck (Margie) Gibson of Overland Park, Kansas, Pam (Jerry) Leuthold of Bern, Kansas; her grandchildren Seth (Christine) Kruse of Midland, Michigan, Sarah (Jamin) Hartland of Rapid City, South Dakota, Anne (Bryan) Shore of Jacksonville, Florida, Reid Kruse of Interior, South Dakota, Chad Kruse of Rapid City, South Dakota, Chris (Kelly) Gibson of Grandview, Missouri, Aaron Gibson of Overland Park, Kansas, Rachel Leuthold of Plano, Texas, Ben Leuthold of Park City, Kansas, Jacob Leuthold of Bern, Kansas, and great-grandchildren Hunter Kruse, Flint Kruse, Eliana Shore, and Joseph Stratman.
A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, July 11 followed by a funeral service at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
