Joy Searls, 88, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024.
Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Karl A. Searls, and son Daniel C. Searls. She is survived by her children Debbie (Mike) McLaughlin, Dave (Lisa) Searls; grandchildren Sara Niehues, Heather Searls, Haley Searls, Noah Searls, Kirsten Searls, Adonis Searls, Linnea Searls; and great-grandson Traven Niehues.
Joy was a banking executive for many years in the Kansas City area. Upon retiring, she was was a proud volunteer at Children's Mercy South and she and husband Karl enjoyed taking vacations with long-time friends.
Joy will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends she made throughout her lifetime.
The family would like to thank the loving care and attention received from the Kansas City Hospice House.
