Louanna Shepherd White, 85, passed away May 7, 2018. Funeral services are 2:00 PM Friday, May 11th, with visitation at 12:30 PM, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Wayside Waifs.
Louanna was born January 31, 1933 in Kansas City to Paul and Alice Smith. She graduated from Northeast High School where she met her childhood sweetheart, Marvin Shepherd. They married and had two sons, Terry and Stephen. Louanna worked for TWA for 33 years, and following retirement, worked 13 years at Hall’s on the Plaza. She was a graduate of UMKC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Louanna loved traveling with her family and saw the world. At Hall’s she worked as a personal shopper which she truly enjoyed.
Survivors include Marvin Shepherd; two sons, Terry (Tayna) Shepherd and Stephen (Teresa) Shepherd; a sister, Dixie Peden; grandchildren, Stephen, Sara, Daniel, Jessie, and Suzanne; and two great-grandchildren, Nolan Paul and Dylan Claire.
