September 28, 1915May 9, 2019

Nanette Bailey and Daniel Renault would like to make known, that our mother, Margret “Louise” Renault was called home to our Lord on Thursday, May 9th, 2019. After 103 years of a well lived life. Louise peacefully passed away in her sleep surrounded by family in Jefferson City, Missouri.

She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1915, to parents August and Margret Hummel, as the 2nd of 6 children. After graduating high school she went to work as a bookkeeper for Acme Brass and Machine Works, after the untimely death of her father. Her passion for art never failed as she drew on whatever she could get her hands on. In addition, she was an exceptional cook whom loved keeping her families bellies full.

In 1938 she wed Roger André Renault and shortly after became an incredible mother to four children. Roger and Louise founded Able Machine Works in 1947 alongside Karl and Irene Hummel. Along with being a bookkeeper, homemaker, and mother, she was a member of St. Thomas Moore church where she selflessly volunteered. She was also an active volunteer in many other charitable activities.

She is survived by Nanette (Jim) Bailey, Dan (Sue) Renault, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 17 great- great grandchildren.

For 49 years, she was married to our dad Roger before being widowed in 1988. She was welcomed into the Kingdom by her parents; brothers and sisters; husband; daughter, niece; son, Richard; and three great-grandchildren.
