Maria Rachel Estrada, 72, Kansas City North, passed away February 22, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. A visitation is scheduled from 6-8 PM Thursday, March 1st, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM Friday, March 2nd, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Kansas City, MO; cremation. Donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
Rachel was born May 14, 1945 in Kansas City, KS. She was a mother to all who knew her. Rachel loved crafts, sewing and enjoyed watching her Lifetime and Hallmark movies. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Torres, and a brother, Louis Torres.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Alfonso “Sonny” Estrada, Jr.; daughter, Renee’ Estrada (Henry Quinde); sons, Mark Estrada (Stephanie Woolf), Christopher Estrada and Michael Estrada; 6 grandchildren, Martin Estrada, Marina Estrada, Enrique “Rico” Vargas, Andrea Vargas, Mark Estrada, Jr., and Angelina Aguilar; numerous godchildren, nephews, nieces, and great nieces and great nephews; and Chico and Molly Joe, her much loved dogs.
