Marjory E. Weidmaier

Marjory E. Weidmaier, 100, passed away on November 6, 2018. Marjory was born February 23, 1918 in Santa Rosa, Missouri to Charles A. Patridge and Cora A. Patridge Evans. Marjory grew up on a farm in northwest Missouri. She married Clifton Weidmaier on December 31, 1934. Soon after their marriage, she and Clifton moved to California, returning to Missouri before the beginning of WWII. They moved to Sunflower, Kansas after the war began where they both worked at the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant for the duration of the war. In 1952, her husband built a new home in a rural area between Martin City and Grandview, Missouri where she continued to live until the age of 96 when her health required a move to assisted living. For her family, the memories are many because family always came first whether it was birthdays, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, summer barbecues or just a Friday night visit. She was an excellent cook and seamstress and loved reading, flowers, birds and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Paul E. Weidmaier, Marcia A. Williams and Clifton W. Weidmaier, Jr.; grandchildren, Teresa M. Faust (Brian), Christopher P. Weidmaier (Melissa), John D. Weidmaier (Lisa), Mary M. Hall (Don), Thomas C. Weidmaier (Tina), Steven E. Bishop, Michael A. Bishop and Bradley V. Bishop (Sara); great grandchildren, Cody, Anna, Jeremy, Joshua, Colin, Keaton, Molly, Brandon, Rebecca, Dahlby, Jackson, Seth, Luke, Nora and Daniel and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clifton Weidmaier; her parents Charles A. Patridge and Cora A. Patridge Evans; her sisters, Mary Weidmaier, Eva Mason, and Vera Campbell; her brothers, Don Patridge, Arthur Patridge and Horace Patridge and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14th, from 10-11am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO, with Mass immediately following at 11am at the church. There will be a reception at St. Thomas More Catholic Church following the burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Gifts of flowers will be donated after the service to Unexpected Blooms, Inc.
