Vicki Jo Vandendaele

Vicki Jo Vandendaele, 69, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at Northcare Hospice House on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10 am, with visitation Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 6-8 pm, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, MO 64119. Burial will follow services in Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.

Vicki was born in North Kansas City, MO on November 11, 1950 to parents Joseph F. and Shirley J. Vandendaele.

She attended St. Pius High School for 3 years, but graduated from Liberty High School in 1968.

Following high school, she became a certified medical assistant and worked for an ENT Specialist for 14 years. She later worked at NKC Hospital for 22 years where she retired in 2015.

In Vicki’s free time she loved to read, travel, and treasured spending time with her family.

She was a good and loving person and will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

Vicki is preceded in death by her parents, and nephew, Scott Williams.

She leaves behind her brother, Jim (Debbie) Vandendaele; sister, Pam Williams; nieces, Shelly (John) Hendrix, and Tisha (Tom) Stevenson; nephew, Jimmy J. (Kim) Vandendaele; and her great- nieces and great- nephews, Kady (Conner) Keim, William and Russell Vandendaele, and Abby and Tyler Stevenson to cherish their beloved “Aunt Mimi’s” memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer.

So many memories of the D&B (Devine & Burroughs) days! Vicki was a joy to work with. We shared a lot of laughs and good times with the rest of the D&B gang! Although I didn't see her often anymore, I will always hold fond memories of Vicki!
