Victor L. Swoboda

Victor Louis Swoboda, 97, Parkville, MO, passed June 8, 2015 at New Mark Care Center. The Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM Friday, June 12th at St. Therese Catholic Church; burial in Resurrection Cemetery North. Friends may call from 5:30-7:30 PM Thursday at the Church where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM. Contributions are suggested to Catholic Charities.

Victor was born August 17, 1917 in Washington, MO to Julius and Julia Swoboda. He was one of 9 children. During World War II Victor served in the U.S. Army/Air Corp. On September 18, 1948 he married Delia Albina Gaiavdoni. They lived in Independence, MO before moving to Parkville in 1957 and were founding members of St. Therese Catholic Church. Victor was employed for 33 years as an mechanic/inspector for TWA. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers.

Survivors include a brother, Richard; and a sister, Dorothy; 5 sons, David, Edward, Charles, Paul and wife, Vickie, and John; 2 daughters, Vickie and husband, George, and Anita; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
