Gayle Ann Ramey

Mrs. Gayle Petit Ramey passed away peacefully at her home January 26, 2016. She was born October 14, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emile Joseph Petit. Mrs. Ramey lived in Louisiana until she moved to Houston Texas to be close to her daughter in August 2015.

Mrs. Ramey was a professional photographer, specializing in family and baby portraits. In 1972 Mrs. Ramey married the love of her life, Kenneth Wayne Ramey and in 1992, after he suffered a stroke, she became his devoted and loving care taker until his death in October 2015. Mrs. Ramey's passion and delight was spending time with her husband, her faithful dog-daughter Bella Rose, her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family.

Mrs. Ramey is survived by 2 daughters, Cheryl Guidry Detillieu and Michele Gann; 7 grandchildren, Michelle Detillieu Seruntine, Christopher Detillieu, AJ Detillieu, Ryan Detillieu, Kimberly Medlin-Ingram, Kyle Medlin, Kristopher Medlin; 3 great grandchildren, Gracey Seruntine, Chloe Seruntine and Collin Medlin; and, a number of other relatives and close friends.

There will be a private service for immediate family members in Louisiana. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
