Violet . Pearson
May 14, 1923 – January 28, 2019
Violet [Nusser] Pearson, 95, of West Bloomfield died peacefully in her sleep on January 28, 2019.
Violet was a Detroit native. She met her husband of over 60 years during a short stint in San Diego where he was training as a Navy pilot. After WWII, they married and eventually settled in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan to raise their family.
She is survived by her children, James (Luana) Pearson, Robert Pearson, Ronald (Nancy) Pearson, and Christie Vrevich and her grandchildren: Savanna, Garrett, and Dominic Vrevich. Violet was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Bernard Pearson and her son William Pearson.
Violet’s life was centered on her family. Most days you could find her in the light-filled kitchen overlooking Upper Long Lake. If she wasn’t cooking or visiting with someone over coffee, she was tracking swimmers, boaters, or ice skaters on the lake. She was an active member of Our Lady of Refuge Parish and volunteered for many years as a court watcher.
