Kathryn T. (Sumner) Lucier, 80, a resident of Spofford, NH passed away at the Cheshire Medical Center, Keene, NH., on Sunday, March 4, 2018, following a strong and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 17, 1938 the daughter of Harry and Anna (Saunders) Sumner. She worked for several years as an in-home caregiver. Her compassionate service helped to make the lives of those she helped better and she was able to help them stay in their homes and be independent.

She had an immense amount of inner strength.
She is survived by her son: Doug Lucier of Spofford, NH, two daughters: Karla Young and her husband Chuck of Rhome, TX and Donna Scully of Vernon, VT, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is also survived by her dear-friend and the father of her children: Donald M. Lucier of Willsboro, NY. She is predeceased by her daughters: Darlene Lucier and Karen Lucier and her brothers: James, Albert and Henry Sumner.
As was Kathryn’s wish, her family will gather for a private memorial in her honor.

I'm so sorry, Donna. I hope your memories comfort you, and your art and family help relieve your grief. From experience, I know this is hard. Remembering you both as "business neighbors" when I worked in Vernon.
