Sue Vinson

Sue was born on January 28, 1941 in Merkel, Texas to parents D. T. Landreth and Nellie Kanell Dickerson, and entered into eternal rest on October 8, 2019 at the age of 78. She graduated from Abilene High School and married Virgle Vinson on September 1, 1957 in Abilene, Texas. Sue's family meant everything to her and she was known as "Sue Baby" to her loved ones. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Western swing dance festivals, was self-employed for more than 40 years at Sue's Beauty Shop and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Sue was an amazing woman that will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgle Vinson who passed on September 16, 2003, and her daughter Gena Kanell Vinson.

She is survived by her daughter Tambra Vinson of Decatur, Texas; granddaughter Dan Jones and husband Fred of Run Away Bay, Texas; granddaughter Dona Hardin and husband Josh of Decatur, Texas; granddaughter Tana Hartman and husband Bret of McKinney, Texas; grandson by choice JJ Melton and wife Laura, son of Brenda and James Melton of Kaufman, Texas; great grandchildren Brody, Brac, Bowen, Stran, Scout, Jameson and Madden; sister Jo Nell Holdman of Tool, Texas; other loving family members and many more friends.
