Edmond Roy "Eddie" Jumonville

Edmond Roy “Eddie” Jumonville passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the age of 75. Eddie was born in Jefferson, LA to the late Felix and Merita Jumonville. A longtime resident of LaPlace, LA, Eddie was a 4th degree charter member of Knights of Columbus, Ascension of Our Lord chapter, who earned several honors throughout his lifetime. He spent much of his free time helping to guide our youth as Treasurer of the local Boy Scouts troop 51 and Assistant Cub Master of the local Cub Scouts troop 318. Eddie was also an avid admirer of antique cars, and enjoyed building model cars, trains, and airplanes. Eddie is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Malbrough Jumonville, his loving sons, Roy Jumonville (Hanna) and Robert Jumonville, his grandchildren, Kiara, Cayla, Rachel, and Sean Jumonville, and his brother, Robert “Bobby” Jumonville (Dora). He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Merita Jumonville, his sister Betty Jumonville Landry, his brother, David Jumonville, and his sister-in-law, Sumiko Jumonville. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Ascension of Our Lord Church, 1900 Greenwood Dr., LaPlace, LA 70068 on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM prior to the service. A reception will follow the service at the family home; please inquire with the family for further details.
