Mayon Cox Hughes, age 81, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Mayon was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed traveling all over the world, cooking, shopping, playing bridge and reading. Mayon will be loved and missed by all that knew her.
Mayon is survived by her sons, Michael Hughes, Christoper "Chris" Hughes; brother, Tazwell Tucker Cox; sister, Georgeanne Neele; grandchildren, Devin Hughes, Holly Hughes, Kameron Hughes, Shay Hughes.
Mayon was preceded in death by her husband William Thomas Hughes; parents, Safford Allen Cox and Evelyn Tucker Cox.
A visitation for Mayon will be Saturday January 27, 2024, 2:00 - 3:00 pm with a memorial service following visitation at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152.
