In loving memory of Samran Peek, born on September 8,1948 in Khon Kaen, Thailand. She passed away on June 24th, due to the injuries sustained from a car accident, with her devoted spouse, Donald, and her loving daughter, Frances by her side. Her loss will be deeply felt by all those whose lives she touched. Sam was a no nonsense, feisty, kind, and beautiful woman who lived a life with no regrets. Nothing made her happier than feeding her family with her amazing cooking, watering and talking to her many, many plants, keeping QVC and HSN in business, singlehandedly (okay not really, but she did shop with them with lots of dedication for years), or watching her grandkids grow into wonderful humans. A military spouse for over 50 years, she dedicated her life to raising her daughter and supporting the family through any need or difficulty. In recent years, she endured triple heart bypass and breast cancer. Nobody was stronger or fought harder than she did.
Samran was predeceased by her parents, Kan Nueangpakdee and Daeng Nueangpakdee, and her brother Saman Phuphipha. She leaves behind her husband, Donald Peek from Kennesaw, GA; Frances Bullock from Charlotte, NC, daughter of Gene Lewis and Samran; her sisters Ratchanee Jantakrom and Noonid Nueangpakdee from Thailand; her brothers Jirout Nueangpakdee, Somnuck Nueangpakdee and Panid Nueangpakdee from Thailand; son-in-law David Bullock; and grandchildren, Kayla, Gavin, and Rylan Bullock from Charlotte, NC. A private celebration of life for the family will be the first weekend in July. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to ASPCA. She loved flowers, but she loved animals even more.
