Marilyn “Gail” Cudmore February 16, 1941 – January 1, 2020

With great sadness in our hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Gail Cudmore (nee Miller), beloved wife of the late Wayne, cherished mother of Kim (Pat) Dool and Tracy (Rick) Anthony, all living in Thunder Bay; adored grandma of Kyle (Erica), Thunder Bay, and Amanda Dool (Brendon McDonald), Kenora, and Joelle (Deric) Ewen and Ryan Anthony (Paris), Thunder Bay; great-grandma of Alexis and Benjamin McDonald and Ryder Ewen. Predeceased by parents Clayton and Viola Miller (nee Brinkman) and brother Bill.

Gail was born in Dryden and grew up in Kenora on the Miller farm. Working as a telephone operator, she met the love of her life and married October 28, 1958. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was involved with all her children and grandchildren’s daily lives and activities.

One of Gail's favourite things was to spend time in her huge garden; known for her beautiful flowers and admired by many. Also, she enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, (out) fishing Wayne with her blue fishing rod, skiing, exploring and enjoying nature as a whole with family and friends.

During her down time, Gail enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting, and learning new crafts. In her later years, she dove deeply into learning about her family's history.

Much time was spent with their girls, sons-in-laws and grandchildren and meeting her great grandchildren who meant the world to her.

Gail was very well known for her poise, generosity and thoughtfulness. She touched the lives of everyone she met and will always be remembered for her contagious smile.

A special thanks to the support staff of Benidickson Court and Pinecrest, and friends and family for all their support. A very special thank you to Lisa DeGagne for always being at her side in her later years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice.

A private service will be held at a later date.

I remember growing up, stopping in to visit aunty Gail and uncle Wayne. I loved them both. Aunty Gail is one of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever known. And she has been my inspiration over the years to learn and research family history. She was gifted and beautiful, and gave the best hugs, smiles, laughs, and goodies! All her family are in my thoughts & prayers. Tina (Brinkman) Phipps
