Terry passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his wife, and surrounded by his loved ones. Singing with his last breaths as he took his final journey to the other side on April 6, 2021 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
Terry was previously deceased by his mother Cecile and his father Arthur Mosionier. His brothers Eugene (Anita), Ed, Mervin (Noreen), and Kelly (Janne)
Survived by his Sisters, Yvonne (Art) Browning, Arlene (Gaston (deseased) Crowley. His brother Ronnie (Wendy) Mosionier.
He was born in Minnedosa, MB and moved here as a child with his parents as they were passing through looking for work in the pipeline. They stopped in Kenora and fell in love with this town.
Terry met Pat (Falardeau) on June 26, 1973 and Married June 26, 1976, it was love at first sight. They had been married for almost 45 Years. Together they had a wonderful life full of adventures and struggles. Pat was the love of his life, she stood by him through thick and thin with fierce love and dedication. They had two wonderful boys. He was so proud of the men they had grown in to. Chris (Jeness) and Kevin (Robin). Terry loved his daughters in laws like they were his own daughters. Always making them feel welcome and loved. He always said they were the daughters he never had and they brought so much joy to his life.
Chris and Kevin gave Pat and Terry beautiful granddaughters, Mykenna Lee, Briana and Paislee P, and Bonus granddaughters Jenette and Cayla. They were the stars in his eyes. He loved his time with his girls. Whether he was playing cards, hand pile games, singing goofy songs or telling bad dad jokes. He was always smiling when they were around.
Next to fishing and spending time with family Terry’s next love was music. He started to dabble learning the guitar when he was 50, then got mad and quit because he wasn’t learning fast enough and picked it up again a few years later and ran with it. He started writing his own songs , like Memory Jar for Pat, and singing with the Mosionier band at family functions and social events. When he first started singing with Ronnie and the band he was so nervous he had to turn his back to the crowd to sing, before long he was taking requests. He often got requested to sing Rose Colored Glasses, Jolene, Swingin’, Marijuanaville and many many more. Terry loved to play his guitar and sing with his favorite guitar buddies, nieces Sandy (John) Kozak, Michelle Browning-Poulin, and his Nephew Braydon Browning around the firepit or in the living rooms as the family would dance and sing along. If there was a guitar around Terry had it in his hands.
Terry was injured in 1989 out in the bush logging, changing his whole life. Though Terry never let his disability bring him down. He accomplished so much not letting the restriction of his wheelchair limit him. We always said he did more than most able bodied people. His boys had to grow up fast and learn how to be men at an early age taking good care of their mom and helping Terry out around the house and land Terry loved. He made sure his boys could be skilled in many different things from mechanical, to carpentry to welding and fixing just about anything they take apart. He loved to work with his hands and it showed.
Terry enriched and brought so much joy, love and knowledge to those around him. He will be missed and loved by many.
