A family is a circle of love, not broken by a loss, but made stronger by the memories. Love you Mayra and may you all find peace in knowing that she is now resting in heaven and your guardian angel. God Bless Helen Guzman

Words cannot express my sorrow for the loss of your mother. I would like to leave these words with you: Life is like a butterfly; it goes where it pleases and pleases wherever it goes.

Your Friend, Lynn C. Collins

Pastor Carmen Milagros Denis-Cuadrado was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Carmen will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

She was the daughter of Cruz Denis and Elvira Cuadrado. Carmen grew up in Puerto Rico-Barrio Obrero, Santurce, PR.

Carmen was raised with two brothers. She had an older brother Jose Ivan (deceased) and Luis Anibal Denis. Carmen was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.

As a young girl, Carmen had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. In her spare time she liked to draw pictures. However, to Carmen, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.

A typical teenager, Carmen had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Escnela Superior Central-Santurce in 1956. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects like Home Economics and excelling in cooking class.

Carmen enjoyed her college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Carmen was able to manage the balancing act. She earned her Bachelor in Administration. She graduated with honors, Cum-Laude. She took serveral Liberal Arts courses like Interior Design and Decorating; Professional Baker and Catering services. She also created and ran her own business for several years.

Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Carmen enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. Later in life, she became friends with Georgina Camacho.

She was married to Angel F.Ayala and later to Etanislao Rosario. Both preceded her in death.

Carmen worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Carmen was blessed with two children, a son Angel Luis Ayala Denis and a daughter Mayra M. Ayala Denis.

Fortunately, Carmen enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Carmen worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was Pentecostal Pastor. Carmen always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.

Carmen’s faith was important to her. She was a member of Iglesia Cristiana Nueva Vida Killeen. She was Pastor of Iglesia Mahanaim, defensores de la fe, Puerto Rico.

When Carmen’s retirement finally arrived in Killeen, Texas, she was well prepared. Even in retirement, Carmen continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Carmen was active in her new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered her.

Carmen passed away on April 13, 2018 at Copperas Cove Nursing and Rehabilitation Home. She is survived by children and grandchildren.

Simply stated, Carmen was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Carmen leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Pastor Carmen Milagros Denis-Cuadrado.
