Cecil Elder

Mr. Elder was born December 6, 1935 in Palmetto, Georgia to Author Elder and Susie Robinson.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring at Fort Hood. Mr. Elder was the recipient of many awards while serving his country, to include the Purple Heart.

Mr. Elder is survived by two sons, Michael Larue Elder and Ricky Bernard Elder and his wife Ivy. He also is survived by four grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Cecil will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Street, Killeen, TX.

A funeral service is scheduled Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 9:30 AM, Crawford Bowers Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will follow Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 State Highway 195, Killeen, TX 76542.
