Olivia Artis was born to Lewis and Jessie Flye on August 19, 1931, in Knox City, Texas. She passed away on May 27, 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia.
She is the mother of five children. In 1970 she moved to San Antonio, Texas while traveling in the Air Force with her husband, Norman Artis. She attended St. Philips College, graduated and became an LVN employed at Southeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio for 25 years.
She moved to Killeen, Texas in 1991 to be cared for by her daughters.
She is survived by 19 grandchildren; Ricardo, Duane, Andre, Elwin, Connie, Maurice, LaTasha, Sam, Stephanie, Ron II, Victor, Stevon, Praise Jesus, Spirit, Thunderstorm, Martis, Kailua, American Artis; 19 Great-grandchildren and 11 Great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, 9 siblings, and two sons, Ronnie and Michael Artis.
