Native of Scott County, VA., Mr. Williams was born on March 24, 1929 the son of the late Robert and Minnie Musick Williams. He was a Christian and proudly served his country having served in the United States Army as a military police officer. He was married to Margaret Williams who preceded him in death in 2009.
Survivors include his three sons; Ronald (Lynne) Williams of Johnson City, TN, Randal Williams of Golden, CO., and Robert (Gaye) Williams of Berington, IL. Five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter along with a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Williams will be conducted on Saturday February 16, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. from the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Kilgore officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakhill Cemetery with full military rites extended by American Legion Color Guard Post 3 and 265.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at East Lawn Funeral Home.
Family members will serve as active pallbearers.
