Jonothon David Munoz was the first-born child of Ingrid Marcela Munoz. He was born in Queens, New York, and lived in the Midwest during his early years. He was a lyricist from a very young age, loved writing poetry. At age 8, won first place in a national writing contest and was published in a children’s poetry book. He excelled at math and chess, loved music, and basketball, dreaming to become a top athlete like Michael Jordan. He loved the movie Space Jam and he dreamed and believed he could fly. Jonothon moved to Austin and ultimately Houston, TX where he graduated high school with honors from Southwest Academy in 2010. After attending Lonestar College for Medical Administration, He worked in the medical field in New York and Houston. He loved putting on his medical uniform with pride, he saw it as an honor to work and serve in the medical field. Jonothon loved sports! He was savvy and knowledgeable of all things team - basketball and football. He was a brilliant and talented music writer. Spending time at studios honing his craft. He was a big bear, sensitive and strong, with a wicked sense of humor. His love for God, Son, Mother, and family was everything he lived for. Jonothon’s salvation story began at an early age when he publicly confessed Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized. He believed in the power of prayer and throughout his life his faith was completely in God. He acknowledged how abundantly favored he was through the love of Jesus Christ. Jonothon was a beautiful soul with a kind heart and the most amazing smile – so handsome. Jonothon LOVED his family. He adored his little sister Mia, who calls him Buca, and cherished every moment with his one and only beloved son Sebastian Daniel Munoz. He taught them lessons of being kind, generous, courageous and loving God above all. He loved a good dad joke as “Dad” is a title that he wore proudly. He cherished moments like getting to walk Sebastian to school, playing with him -Fortnite video games, and tickling to laugh to no end. Jonothon will be infinitely missed, and his absence will be deeply felt. It is always hard to say goodbye to someone we love, especially when that someone has a beautiful spirit as Jonothon did. But we do not mourn as those that have no hope, because we know that absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Today we celebrate the life of Jonothon David Munoz for all the immense love, joy and happiness he brought to our lives. Jonothon leaves to cherish loving memories His Best Friend; His Loving and Devoted Mother: Ingrid Scaroina; His Joy – His Son: Sebastian Daniel Munoz; His Step-father Alfredo Scaroina whom he deeply admired for his strong values and conviction, little sister Mia Norella Scaroina who he adored, Victoria Aguirre loving mother to Sebastian; his beloved grand-mother Mommy Ruby who helped raise him like a son; grandma Migdalia; his one of a kind Aunt Astrid, his cousins that were more like a brother and sister Marcela and Nicholas, and Uncles David and Fabio; his birth father Julio Ce’sar Silva Jr and a host of family and friends near and far.
