Walt, I am so sorry for your loss. Marlene was always one of my favorite cousins, so kind, but with the most hilarious sense of humor. As teenagers we were all excited when she met you, and I know you both had much happiness. Losing a spouse is a big adjustment, but I wish you the best.

Marlene was a beautiful lady, both inside and out. She and Walt made a wonderful couple and were a real asset to KUMC.

She worked tirelessly for the Society of Saint Stephen ministry and performed countless deeds of mercy and grace for everyone she touched there.

Dan always enjoyed his chance encounters and visits with her at the Kroger's grocery on Northpark.

May God's comforting presence bless her family!

Walt, Mark, Tim and Allison: We are so sorry to hear about Marlene. She was a very special and caring person. I am one of the farm girls from southern Illinois that she grew up with. Went to High School and graduated with her; we went to dances as a group; we double dated, and we were in each others weddings. I just looked at your wedding picture, Walt. What a beautiful picture and beautiful wedding. You are all in our prayers and send our love.
