Carolyn Ann Grantham

Grantham, Carolyn Ann, age 84, lifelong resident of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away September 5, 2018 after a challenging illness of recent. She was a resident of Raintree Terrace Assisted Living Facility which she had happy times with her many friends. She was a member of the Senior Center Bingo Society.

Carolyn was a strong woman, lived a good life, loved to talk to people and was an out and about person. She treated everyone equally. Carolyn was a very loving and kind person who made people laugh.

Preceded in death by husband, Jack Best Grantham; parents, James Luther Curtis and Florence Lee Clifton Curtis; sons, Larry Ira Hooper and Gerald Allen Grant; grandson, Kevin Todd Roberts; son-in-law, Bruce Estes Horne. She is survived by daughters, Jackie and husband Bud Turbyville, Janet Grant, Jeannie and husband Dana Eckhardt, Joanna Hooper; son, Mark and wife April Hooper; grandchildren, Keri Marie Benzinger, Mike Turbyville, Brian Turbyville, Lori Willson Claiborne, Nicole O'Fallon, Darrell Berry, Chris Berry, Kyle Rosa, Stephanie Ogle, Mark Hooper, Jr., Sarah Newman. Several great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy and wife Maxine Curtis . A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3 PM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Berry Chapel. The family will receive friends 1-3 PM Saturday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Lyons View Pike, Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 9:30 AM for graveside services.
