Donna Lynn Skinner

January 30, 1948July 24, 2018

Donna Lynn Skinner, 70, died July 24, 2018 at her home in Kingston, Tennessee after a 3-month battle with Stage IV cancer. Donna was born on January 30, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. She was a strong, hard working woman, wife, mother, and grandmother who loved nothing more than her family. Donna and her husband of 52 years, Harold, raised three children, Sheila, young Harold who is special needs, and Renee. They have two supportive sons-in-law, Glen Partello and Jason Phillips; and four beautiful grandchildren, Nicholle and Brittany Partello, and Tyler and Carson Phillips. Donna was the core of her family. She spent much of her time creating wonderful memories and family traditions that her family will continue with in her honor. Donna and Harold began their life and marriage of 52 years holding hands, and her life ended in the same way, with the love of her life holding on tightly, but as gently as ever. She was surrounded with love and affection and will be deeply missed. Donna leaves to cherish precious memories of their lives together her husband, three children, and four grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Ruth; and her two sisters, Jami and Toni. I am deeply saddened by the passing of Donna, and understand the loss of a loved one. While I never had the opportunity to meet Donna in person, I can only know in my heart that she was indeed a special woman. Harold, it makes me feel good that you were there holding on to Donna when her time came to be with the Lord, as I was there when my wife passed. Love you cousin, and if there is anything I can do to help, or even just to talk, give me a call..

Peggy and I are so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. We spent some quality time with Donna, Harold and the family a few years ago at their house and really enjoyed catching up on old times! She will really be missed!

We are so sorry to hear of her passing. Even though we were only in her company a handful of times, she was such a warm, welcoming and funny lady. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so sad to hear the news. Donna was fun, when we together we laughed and danced. We didn't see each other as I would have liked but when we got together we just picked up where we left off. She will sadly missed by all who knew her.
