Joe J.T. Thomas Burchette

Burchette, Joe Thomas "J.T." 88 of Knoxville, TN passed away Wednesday May 16, 2018. He was a proud Veteran of the Korean War. J.T. served in the US Air Force. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church of Loudon and Ball Camp Baptist Church of Knoxville. J.T. retired from Alltel Telephone Company in Powell after 26 years of faithful service. He was passionate about life, church, and taking care of others. J.T. loved woodworking and was a general jack of all trades. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Eve Burchette. J.T. is survived by children, Michael Burchette, Lisa Burchette, Lori Burchette; siblings, Mary Skelton, Eva Watkins, Owens Burchette, Nita (Mike) O'Brien, Leon (Marilyn) Burchett, Stanley (Terri) Burchette; brother-in-law, Jim (Jean) Robbins; sister-in-law, Shirley Dayton; many loving nieces and nephews. Family would like to thank those at Shannondale for the exceptional love and care. Family will receive friends Friday, May 18th from 5-7 pm at Ball Camp Baptist Church 2412 Ball Camp Byington Rd with funeral service immediately following at 7pm. Rev. Lee Fox officiating. Burial will take place Saturday, May 19th at 11 am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens 160 Edgemoor Road. Family and friends will meet at the graveside at 10:45am.
