I have lots of memories of Lee Roy. From Mooring, through high school, and on to Martin. Once he left for Knoxville we kept in touch for a while and even helped a couple of other dear friends get married - I'll never forget a trip into the mountains somewhere near Kingston!
We were able to link back up a couple of years ago when I started making Knoxville a more regular destination during the fall. We will miss him when it's time for a burger after the game.

Lee Roy was a true friend who will be greatly missed.

We grew up together, going through high school in Lake County, Tennessee, then college at the University of Tennessee, sometimes rooming together and generally getting into mischief.

As we matured and work caused me to move away, we lost touch, but a few years back, Lee Roy tracked me down and we reconnected. When we got back together before a Tennessee football game (and he was a TRUE UT fan !!), it was just like we had never been apart. Good friends are like that, no matter how many years it is between seeing them, you pick back up right where you left off ... Lee Roy was definitely one of those friends.

I feel lucky to have had him as a friend and will think of him often, especially in the fall when the Orange and White take the field.
